Where in the world is Mark Hunter March 2008 |
|
For the next few months, Where in the World Is Mark Hunter, will be produced by guest writers. To start with, Jennifer (me), Mark’s niece and general manager of Hunters Palm Springs, will be writing about the goings-on in Palm Springs. Next, Peter, GM Chicago, will inform us of the happenings in the Windy City. Bringing up the rear, in May, Rod Schisler, Owner Hunters San Jose, will detail his first year of operation in the nightclub industry and let us know what there is to do in San Jose in the summer. So sit back and enjoy the ride.
At the end of February, we had the fortune to attend the Bar & Nightclub Show (The Show) in Las Vegas. The Show is filled with all that is new and exciting in our industry from music, electronics, lighting, alcohol, games, etc., the list goes on. For several days the Las Vegas convention center is turned into one big nightclub. You can walk around for hours looking at the cool stuff and tasting new (and old) liquors. I don’t think I have to tell you how much fun we had. This year we were fortunate to have representatives from all three clubs meet up at The Show. We all had a great time and are already looking forward to next year. |

If you ever planned on visiting Palm Springs, NOW is the time. Our picture perfect weather provides a great back drop for all the wonderful things there are to do here. Palm Springs offers amazing hiking (I recommend Indian Canyon where Randy, Theresa and I happened upon a rattlesnake last Wednesday), abundant shopping, celebrity and scenic tours and an exciting nightlife.
March 17th is St. Patrick’s Day. Come celebrate with us and receive a free Hunters Nightclub t-shirt, enjoy our complimentary Corn Beef & Cabbage Buffet (provided by Rainbow) and drink specials including green beer. We will also be presenting An Evening with Kenny Kerr Uncensored. Kenny brings his fabulous Las Vegas style show to Hunters Palm Springs every other Monday night. April begins with massive circuit parties known as Dinah Shore Weekend (for the girls) April 3-6, and White Party (for the boys) April 17-20. This year Hunters Palm Springs will be hosting Girlbar’s (www.dinahshoreweekend.com) Opening (Thursday, April 3) and Closing (Sunday, April 6) parties and FUSE’s (www.myspace.com/girlsoffuse) Truck Stop Girls and Turkish Oil Wrestling on Friday, April 4. Girls, don’t miss out on these events, trust me if you have never been to Dinah Shore weekend, you haven’t seen anything yet. Jeffery Sanker’s White Party Spring Break (www.jeffreysanker.com) packs Palm Springs with tons and tons of HOT men walking around with their shirts off strutting their stuff. Enjoy the incredible pool parties and come dance the night away with us at Hunters. We are also very busy in May starting with the Opening Party for MELT (www.meltevents.com) on Thursday, May 1. After that, we bounce right into the opening dance for the HOT Rodeo (www.palmspringsrodeo.org), Friday, May 2nd sponsored by Budweiser. This year the Rodeo’s charity is Desert Women for Equality. Hunters Palm Springs hopes to help raise money for this charity by hosting a raffle during the opening night. On May 10th, we will be hosting our first Blatino Oasis (www.clubrimshot.com/blatinooasispartys.html) Saturday night dance. Come hear the music from Blatino Oasis DJs Chris, Angel C and David Harness. To round out May, on Friday, May 30th, we will be kicking off The Bears in The Desert Weekend. In June we’ll be hosting our 2nd Annual Orphan Pet Oasis Charity Golf Tournament. Check our web site for upcoming details. We are looking forward to all these parties and a very eventful season here in Palm Springs 2008! Come out and enjoy the fun in the sun with the crew at Hunters Palm Springs.
